Recap of the week

I always get mental block when come to giving talk, some more this time I need to give an impromptu presentation. Given 10 minutes, need to talk something about “How to sell ice to Eskimos” .. I scratched my head .. Public speaking is not my cup of coffee ...

I wish I can think creatively, talk convincingly and fluently. All these are seemed too hard to achieve anyway that all about my challenging new role being a consultant that I need to adapt with it. :)

Today is the end of my honeymoon work life, end of my bootcamp training and will be assigned to the coming project in mid of November.

I randomly searched my name “Lee See Mun” at google, surprisingly I found this article that I submitted to the star newspaper sometime ago and it got posted under Travellers’ tales. For those who are following my blog, I did post something similar in my blog about my unforgettable experience in Melbourne. One of the main reason, I submitted the post to the star newspaper is to let more people know that they should seal liqiud based food properly when packing when they are flying.

Perhaps, you should try to google your name too and see what's the result, u might find surprises too :P

Have a nice weekend!

Edit: Here is the hardcopy version which I found it today. I didnt send my contact details to TheStar, so I doubt that they will send the movie passes to me :-(

Hi See Mun.
I guess the philosophy of "selling ice to eskimos" is sort of pretty school. The fact is if we sell the eskimos ice when they find out they already have ice, am sure they will feel really short changed! :P

For me, I am a firm believer of "thinking outside the box". You know what I will do? I will not sell them ice but sell them a snowman making machine. Kinda like saying "You have the product (ice) but the deal is how to make something useful out of it, it's service we are talking about" :)
